About Nieves Millar



Nieves Millar, a native of Southern California, graduated from UCLA with a degree in Architecture & Interior Design.  She loves family, friends, traveling, wine tasting, the beach, sailing, riding horses, sports, and all of the outdoors.

Her philosophy is rooted in the pursuit of achieving the desired design aesthetic suitable for the individual project, rather than designing one specific style, expression or particular genre.  She relishes the challenge of creating beautiful environments that are individually crafted, unique in their own right.

Nieves began her design career in the hospitality industry, affiliated with worldwide acclaimed hospitality design firms: Cheryl Rowley Design, located in Beverly Hills, rooted in "Boutique Hotel Design".  Barry Design Associates, working on the JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix, AZ, The Peabody Memphis and The Peabody Orlando Hotels, Hyatt Classic Residence, La Jolla, CA, and more as a Senior Designer.  Nieves worked for Hirsch Bedner Associates as a Senior Designer in Los Angeles, specializing in high-end, luxury residential towers and show villas in Shantou, China and Harbin, China.  Later she joined Princess Cruises managing four ships: Crown, Ruby, Island and Coral.

Nieves focuses on luxury and high-end residential projects.  Her designs incorporate custom one-of-a-kind pieces of art, glass sculptures, lighting, furniture, area rugs, and more - all influenced from her hospitality design background.

 

Nieves' work has received national and international recognition by publications such as Trends Publications in the USA and New Zealand.
